For many people, non-monogamy is a relationship orientation that is a core part of their identity. Many relationships thrive under various non-monogamy structures. When all partners are consenting and communicate effectively, non-monogamy can provide the opportunity for increased connection and vibrancy in a relationship/s.

Common Goals I work with related CNM include:

  • Helping a couple determine if CNM is the right choice for them.
  • Deciding on a relationship structure. (E.g. Polyamory, Relationship Anarchy, Swinging, Monogamish etc)
  • Developing relationship agreements and boundaries.
  • Jealousy: identifying the underlying feelings, experiences and needs related to jealousy. Developing coping tools for managing jealousy.
  • Coming out to friends, family and community
  • Unpacking cultural beliefs around monogamy/non-monogamy and empowering clients to determine what they want and believe for themselves.
  • Developing effective communication skills
  • Time management
  • Rebuilding trust after a boundary violation.
